Basic Occupational Skill Program - Water / Wastewater Laboratory
Skills
Individuals will be able to perform the necessary tests for quality
assurance and water quality standards compliance in laboratories found
in environmental consulting firms, contract laboratories, soil and water
conservation districts, watershed conservancy districts, Ohio EPA, drinking
water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and a variety of
industrial processing facilities. Analytical skills in Standard Methods
wet chemistry procedures and the ability to run a variety of laboratory
instruments such as AA, spectrophotometers, ion selective electrode systems,
and hand held meters (pH, conductivity, etc.) provide students with essential,
up to date competencies employers need in today's high tech world.
