SkillsLink Zane State College's SkillsMAX Center is participating in the SkillsLink project to serve displaced workers AT NO COST TO THE COMPANY OR WORKER. SkillsLink assists workers who are losing their jobs by helping them quickly find employment in a similar job. Zane State College conducts a job profile with a group of workers selected by the company. By defining the workers' skills in a concise job profile report, SkillsLink helps the dislocated worker write a resume, prepare for interviews, or decide what additional training may be appropriate. This project is a partnership with our area One Stops. One Stop staff members will conduct regional outreach based on the workers’ skills to locate similar job opportunities nearby. The SkillsLink Pilot Project is effective from March 1, 2006 until June 30, 2008. Services are free, so please contact us to learn more if your business is downsizing.
