How to become a certified tutor:

There are two levels in our tutor training program certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.

Benefits for Certified Tutors:

• Priority in tutoring assignments
• An additional $0.50 per hour pay raise for each level achieved
• Recognition at the May Honors Program
• A professional recognition certificate
• Improved tutoring and interpersonal skills
• Credentials for your resume

Workshops are offered once a year.

Regular

• Complete 10 hours of workshop training
• Accumulate 25 hours of actual tutoring experience

Advanced

• Complete an additional 10 hours of workshop training (for a total of 20 hours)

• Accumulate 50 hours of actual tutoring experience
