The Success Center is also the designated liaison for international students. All prospective international students are required to contact the Student Success Center to ensure that proper admissions criteria and documentation are satisfied.
International Student Admission Policy
Zane State College is authorized by federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. Residents of foreign countries who wish to apply for admission to Zane State College must:
- Submit a completed Application for Admission Form.
- Submit all pertinent transcripts and translation of those transcripts if not in English.
- Provide the College with results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), if applicant’s natural language is not English.
Students in foreign countries may contact the U.S. Embassy for information concerning the test. A minimum total score of 450 on the paper version of the TOEFL, or a minimum total score of 133 on the computer version of the TOEFL is recommended for admission.
Scores on Accuplacer should be out of the referral range and into courses offered at Zane State College in the areas of reading, writing, and computation math.
- Provide the College with satisfactory evidence of financial stability and also the names of persons to be contacted in case of emergency.
After the above information is satisfactorily completed, the applicant will receive a letter of acceptance and an I-20 Form to be used in securing a student visa. All students attending the College on temporary visas are required to pay out-of-state fees.
