Scholarship Funds Available at Zane State College

While Zane State College is committed to keeping tuition as low as possible, for many students the cost of attending college is out of reach without the aid of scholarship support. The Zane State College Foundation is announcing that approximately $170,000 is available in scholarship funds to recognize and reward those students with financial need who have high academic performance. Applications are now being accepted.

“For some students, scholarships can mean the difference between being able to attend college or withdrawing from school,” said Pamela Jira, executive director of the Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of our caring donors, many Zane State College students receive the financial assistance they need to be able to open the door to a productive future.”

The available funds are designated for students who will be attending Zane State College during the 2012-2013 academic year. Awards are available for both full-time and part-time students who meet qualifying criteria. Funding for scholarships is generated from memorial gifts, contributions from businesses and individuals, and special events.
