Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. Award Scholarships to Zane State College Students
The certified public accounting firm Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. annually presents students with certificates and monetary awards for outstanding academic achievements. On May 1, 2014, two Zane State College students received this distinction. Geraldine McDaniel was awarded Best in Class while Most Improved went to Jeremie Bates. Both McDaniel and Bates are students in the College’s accounting program.
McDaniel is described as the ideal student, demonstrating the dedication that goes beyond the level needed to succeed. Starting the accounting program as a high school senior, Bates’ commitment and drive have aided him in becoming one of the strongest graduating accounting students in the program.
The awards were presented by Robert Penrose, CPA and vice president of state and local taxes at Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. Penrose states that his firm’s reason for supporting this scholarship is straightforward, “If we can help at least one person change their life and achieve their goals, we have made a difference.”
Zane State College congratulates these students who have worked so diligently toward academic excellence and achievement. The College also thanks Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. for their continued investment in student success. The firm has also been a Zane State College Advisory Committee member for nearly 40 years.
