Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

The Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed to provide students with the experiences and knowledge necessary to function as an integral part of the rehabilitation team.

Graduates will work under the supervision of a physical therapist in treating neurological and orthopedic disorders utilizing treatments such as therapeutic exercise, hot and cold modalities, electrical stimulation, and gait training.

Learning experiences include classroom and laboratory activities as well as directed clinical practice under the supervision of a clinical instructor.
