| Prerequisites
Certain courses presuppose that all students enrolled have completed another
course or courses upon which the content of the course is planned.
The term “prerequisite” designates courses, experiences or
permission, which must be satisfied before a student may enroll in that
course.
Students who enroll without having satisfied all prerequisites normally
risk failure, and do so at their own risk.
Credit for Prerequisite Math Courses
Under specific circumstances listed below, incoming students will be
awarded credit hours on their transcript for prerequisite math courses.
There is no charge for this credit.
- A student who places into and completes MTH 113 with a grade of
A or B for the course will be awarded credit by examination on the
transcript for MTH 110.
- A student who places into and completes MTH 124 with a grade of
A or B will be awarded credit by examination for MTH 110 and MTH 113.
- If a student transfers credit with a grade of B or higher from another
accredited institution for a higher level math course (including MTH
113 and MTH 124) the student will have prerequisite math courses automatically
credited to his/her transcript as credit by exam. There will be no
charge to the student for this service.
