Services & Activities at the LRC
1. The Learning Resource Center is designed to assist
the student in the application process, administration
of the Accuplacer test, and register for classes.
Application Process
Within the application process, you can learn about Zane State
College and receive information about programs you are considering.
Applications can be picked up in the Learning Resource Center or downloaded
online. There is a $20.00 non-refundable application fee that must be
submitted before your application for admissions will be processed.

Administration of the Accuplacer Test
The Accuplacer is
used to assess placement in reading, writing, mathematics, and algebra.
This assessment is required of first-time students.
Registration for Classes
For your first quarter the LRC Coordinator will register you
for Freshmen Orientation.
During Freshmen Orientation an academic advisor will assist you in choosing
the courses best suited to your career goals.
If you are a returning student and need refresher courses (i.e. COM
090, COM 091, ENG 095, ENG 096, MTH 090, MTH 091, MTH 092) and / or
you are not accepted into your technical program you can schedule an
appointment with the LRC Coordinator to register for classes.
