Federal Student Aid

Financial Aid is money provided to assist students in meeting the cost of attending college. It includes grants, loans and student employment. Students are required to file for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their eligibility.  If you need assistance, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 740.588.5000, Option 3.

Cost of Attendance
To determine your aid eligibility, we start by estimating how much attending Zane State College will cost in a given year. We take estimated direct costs (costs you pay Zane State) and add them to estimated indirect costs (costs you may incur while attending and pay to others). The result is a standard academic year’s Cost of Attendance for a full-time student. Your actual expenses may be more or less than the average estimates used.

Cost of Attendance 2023-2024 Academic Year

Estimated costs and expenses are used for determining financial aid eligibility. Costs may vary by student type and housing situation. Amounts below are for full-time enrollment (12 hours or more) for a two-semester standard academic year at Zane State College. Part-time tuition costs are prorated accordingly.

Summer semester costs are calculated separately. A 12-month cost of attendance would add the standard year plus summer.
