On December 12, the Zane State College Accounting Program hosted the second annual Accounting, Finance, and Business Career Exploration event. We welcomed 90 high school students from Maysville Local School District, Zanesville High School, Noble Local Schools – Shenendoah, Cambridge High School (Cambridge, Ohio), and Bridgeport. Zane State’s current Accounting students attended and also benefited from this info-packed event. Controller/Vice President at JP Morgan Chase Libby Cullins, CPA, presented the keynote and provided an invigorating and informational message about accounting career opportunities. Associate Director of Admissions at Muskingum University Jake Burnett and Accounting Program Director at Ohio Valley University Peter Ianniciello CPA, CMA, CIA, shared the unique opportunities available to students wishing to pursue a 4-year degree as a transfer student from Zane State. Professor Lisa McDonald shared information about the exclusive Zane State’s Honors Program. With assistance from current Honors Program student Jessica Dutro, Professor McDonald gave an overview of an international travel project and other key points of the program. The event included a networking luncheon complete with 10 of the industry’s most successful professionals. Thank you to all who attended and presented.
