College Credit Plus Expands to Cambridge; Special IT Event and Parent Information Nights Announced

In fall 2020, Zane State College is expanding its College Credit Plus options in the areas of engineering and health at the Cambridge campus.

“We collaborated with our Guernsey and Noble County high school partners to hone in on offerings that would greatly benefit students. We are extending the popular Pathways to Engineering Program and Medical Assisting Certificate to the Cambridge campus,” Assistant Dean to the Provost Heather Shepherd said. “Students can complete the first year of the Pathways to Engineering on the Cambridge Campus. After graduation, they will have opportunities to directly enter the workplace with an associate degree, or pursue a bachelor’s degree in a specialized engineering technology field, including Zane State College’s new Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.”

Also at the Cambridge campus, the College Credit Plus team is offering a Medical Assisting One-Year Certificate to area high school students. “Medical assisting is one of the fastest growing occupations, and our one-year certificate is a gateway to an exciting career in the medical field. After earning the certificate, students can stay another year and take advantage of tuition assistance to complete a Medical Assisting associate degree at Zane State College,” Shepherd said.

Students and parents are encouraged to attend an open house where they can talk with faculty and the College Credit Plus staff about these new opportunities:
