Earn a free associate degree at the same time of your high school diploma.

Earn both a high school diploma and a college degree at the same time. Stay active with your high school while attending college full-time. Take advantage of no tuition charges, borrow a laptop, and explore your future options.

Program graduates have opportunities to directly enter the workplace with their associate degree. Other options include continuing at Zane State College to earn additional associate degrees. Graduates are also well prepared to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a specialized engineering or engineering technology field. Zane State College now offers a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology. Please read the FAQ for eligibility information.
Admission to the Pathways to Engineering program is selective. Demonstrated academic readiness for college level algebra and English is required for acceptance into the program. The application must be made during the sophomore year of high school to complete the associate degree by the end of senior year.
Minimum prerequisites are:
  • 3.0 GPA overall
  • “B” in all academic subjects
  • Completion of at least two years of credit in English, math (Algebra I and Algebra II), and science 
  • Qualified for college-level classes
  • No high school disciplinary infractions
  • Health and Physical Education credits completed
  • Two years of a high school-level foreign language is recommended
