Please join us in congratulating Dakota, a Wildlife Conservation student at ZSC. Dakota will be heading west this summer to begin a career in fisheries at Yellowstone:
When asked why I chose Zane State College Wildlife Conservation Program, the answer was simple. I wanted to learn from the best. While in high school, my friends told me that Mr. Parker was one of the best teachers for Wildlife around. I couldn’t pass up the chance to learn from the best.
The friends I’ve made and the teachers who truly enjoy teaching have made me a more dedicated student. The TRIO office was especially helpful in helping me schedule my classes and connecting me with a tutor. Mr. Parker and the other Wildlife instructors made my program classes fun, exciting, and engaged in every class. Taking classes during the summer led me to new opportunities that I didn’t know existed. It allowed me to take fewer classes every semester but stay on track to graduate.
Zane State campus is easy to navigate, close to home, and a great college for anyone wanting to make a fresh start in a field that they love. After graduation this spring, I will be moving to Wyoming to work as a fisheries technician in Yellowstone National Park.
The Wildlife program is now enrolling for summer. Learn more.
