This casual event gives you a chance to talk about your experience at ZSC and learn how you can take advantage of some upcoming opportunities. Basics of Using Inkscape Software Workshop

Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Check out our IDEA Lab while learning the basics of using Inkscape software editor. Participants will learn how to set up a vector graphic for use with 3D printers, laser engravers, vinyl cutters, and CNC machines.

St. Patrick’s Day Swag Workshop

Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Let the shenanigans begin! Check out our IDEA Lab and create a personalized laser engraved glass beer mug and iron on tee. Participants will learn the basics of using a laser engraver and vinyl cutter. This interactive workshop includes the cost of all supplies needed.

Senior Year Experience

High school seniors from Shenandoah, Caldwell and Rolling Hills School districts visit the Cambridge campus and participate in program activities. During lunch, they'll learn program specific information from Dan Amsbaugh and Marco Adornetto. Following lunch, students will tour campus, complete applications, and meet with financial aid representatives.
District 9 Science Day and Wildlife Symposium

12:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m
During District Nine Science Day, 120 students in grades 5-12 from Coshocton, Muskingum, Guernsey, Noble, Monroe, and Washington counties will present their science projects to judges Participants in Science Day have already registered. The displays are open to the public for viewing. The Science Expo activities are open to the public. All activities are free, and Zane State College clubs will be selling lunch for guests to enjoy on site.and the public.
 
Students will compete to qualify for State Science Day in May, where they can earn scholarships and prizes. New this year, two scholarships from the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority will be awarded to students in grades 5-8. An additional $800,000 is awarded at the State Science Day each year. A special thank you to The Energy Cooperative for sponsoring lunch for student participants. District Nine Science Day will also include the free Science Expo. Kids will learn about science careers through fun activities with Zane State College programs.

All projects, the Science Expo, and the awards ceremony will all be held in the Advanced Science and Technology Center.
Projects will be on display from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Science Expo portion will be from 12 to 2 p.m.

IADC RigPass Safeland USA Program

To meet basic safety regulations for a job in the oil and gas industry, this orientation training is for you. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued a picture ID with unique bar code.

Ohio Level Two Certification in Food Safety
Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) - 15 Hour Online Course

This course is for food managers in risk level III or risk level IV operations, supervisors that have responsibility in food preparations, and those with authority to direct and control food services in retail establishments.

Course Goals:

  • Understand foodborne illness.
  • Understand the relationship between personal hygiene, food safety and employee health in regards to transmission of foodborne illness.
  • Understand the methods for preventing the contamination of food.
  • Understand and apply the correct procedures for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Recognize problems and potential solutions associated with facility, equipment, and layout.
  • Learn to identify problems and potential solutions associated with temperature control, preventing cross-contamination, housekeeping, and maintenance.

Cost $150 (Exam included)
