To meet basic safety regulations for a job in the oil and gas industry, this orientation training is for you. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued a picture ID with unique bar code.

Holiday Cooking Demonstration

Culinary Arts Instructor and Chef of Maria Adornetto’s Restaurant, Marco Adornetto, demonstrates in this informative and entertaining observation workshop. Participants learn tips and tricks in preparing holiday menu choices while watching Chef Adornetto at work; taking home a recipe book to recreate meals at home.

Ohio Peace Officer Training

The Zane State College Cambridge Campus Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) is still accepting applications until December 13. Anyone interested in the OPOTA program should contact School Commander Vicky Conder at vconder@zanestate.edu or 740.588.4151 for an appointment and to pick up an enrollment packet.

The OPOTA program is required training for anyone wishing to be a law enforcement officer in the state of Ohio. The Academy starts on January 16, 2018.

3D Printed Cookie Cutter Workshop

Create a custom cookie cutter using STL files and a 3D Printer.
Participants will also receive a 1-month trial membership to the IDEA Lab for the month of January.

Annual Ethnic Food Fair Presented by The Ethnic Food Fair

Chef Marco Adornetto, along with his ZSC Culinary Arts students, will present cuisines from several ethnicities. Enjoy German, Indian, Soul, and Italian food at the ZSC annual Ethnic Food Fair. Ohio Level Two Certification in Food Safety
Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) - 15 Hour Online Course

This course is for food managers in risk level III or risk level IV operations, supervisors that have responsibility in food preparations, and those with authority to direct and control food services in retail establishments.

Course Goals:

  • Understand foodborne illness.
  • Understand the relationship between personal hygiene, food safety and employee health in regards to transmission of foodborne illness.
  • Understand the methods for preventing the contamination of food.
  • Understand and apply the correct procedures for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Recognize problems and potential solutions associated with facility, equipment, and layout.
  • Learn to identify problems and potential solutions associated with temperature control, preventing cross-contamination, housekeeping, and maintenance.

Cost $150 (Exam included)
