Check out our IDEA Lab and create your own personalized tumbler. Participants will learn the basics of using a laser engraver. This interactive workshop includes the cost of all supplies needed. 

Introduction to 3D Printing

Check out our IDEA Lab, and learn how to 3D print!
Participants will learn the basics of using a 3D printer using existing STL files using MakerBot, and additional PLA printers. Topics will include differences in printing materials, preparing the 3D printer for print, importing files, cloning parts, customizing, and the clean-up process. This interactive workshop includes the cost of all supplies needed. Cost is $10/person.

Cambridge Summer Manufacturing Institute
Please note, registration is now closed. The Cambridge Summer Manufacturing Institute takes place on July 24-28, 2017, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and is exclusively for 11-14 year olds. The goal of the camp is to encourage students to consider careers in manufacturing (engineer, technologist, welder, etc.). Campers will visit a different local manufacturing facility (Detroit Diesel, Colgate-Palmolive, Quanex, and others). This year's group will build a hydraulic robot arm as one of the STEM-related activities.

Do you have a story to write? This workshop will offer strategies on how to capture that story and bring it to life for your readers. You will leave with a whole new approach, technique, and motivation for getting that story onto paper. Learn how to see the world through your characters' eyes in order to preserve the story in a realistic, interesting, and heartfelt manner. Whether you are a professional writer or just simply love to write, bring your story, fiction or nonfiction, to life in this engaging and educational writing workshop.

Currently, she has three books published with The History Press-Geneva on the Lake: Ohio's First Summer Resort, Legends and Lost Treasure in Northern Ohio, and Disasters of Ohio’s Lake Erie Islands. Wendy has created and instructed several writing workshops for writing enthusiasts. She has been interviewed by several Cleveland/Akron radio stations for her unique perspective on history and writing.
