This workshop is a continuation from our 'Introduction to 3D Printing' workshop. Returning and new participants will apply the basics of using a 3D Printer using existing and newly-created STL files using MakerBot and Printbot Printers. New topics will include basic 3D modeling in Simple CAD and Blender, hands-on 3D printing challenges,  learning the dos and dont's of printer setup and operations, and intermediate clean-up techniques. This interactive workshop includes the cost of all supplies needed. 

Class size limited to 12.

Bringing Writing Back to Life
Do you have a story to write? This workshop will offer strategies on how to capture that story and bring it to life for your readers. You will leave with a whole new approach, technique, and motivation for getting that story onto paper. Learn how to see the world through your characters' eyes in order to preserve the story in a realistic, interesting, and heartfelt manner. Whether you are a professional writer or just simply love to write, bring your story, fiction or nonfiction, to life in this engaging and educational writing workshop.

About the instructor: Wendy Koile has been an instructor at Zane State College for the past seven years. She instructs both developmental English and reading. Currently, she has three books published with The History Press-Geneva on the Lake: Ohio's First Summer Resort, Legends and Lost Treasure in Northern Ohio, and Disasters of Ohio’s Lake Erie Islands. Wendy has created and instructed several writing workshops for writing enthusiasts. She has been interviewed by several Cleveland/Akron radio stations for her unique perspective on history and writing.

Metal Art Sign-Making Workshop

Create your very own personalized piece of artwork out of metal. With the guidance of Deanna Duche', attendees will work with Torchmate software to design their metal art and then watch it be cut out on a CNC Plasma Cutter.

IADC RigPass Safeland USA Program
To meet basic safety regulations for a job in the oil and gas industry, this orientation training is for you. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued a picture ID with unique bar code.

Ohio Level Two Certification in Food Safety
Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) - 15 Hour Online Course
This course is for food managers in risk level III or risk level IV operations, supervisors that have responsibility in food preparations, and those with authority to direct and control food services in retail establishments.

Course Goals:

  • Understand foodborne illness.
  • Understand the relationship between personal hygiene, food safety and employee health in regards to transmission of foodborne illness.
  • Understand the methods for preventing the contamination of food.
  • Understand and apply the correct procedures for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Recognize problems and potential solutions associated with facility, equipment, and layout.
  • Learn to identify problems and potential solutions associated with temperature control, preventing cross-contamination, housekeeping, and maintenance.
