Fall is the best time of year at ZSC! Everyone comes back to campus … including our newest, incoming freshman (the largest group since 2013!). Below is some helpful info for all of our students, including students who attend classes on campus, online, and through College Credit Plus.

Student Resources

As a Zane State College student, you have access to free support services, including tutoring and counseling. We also have an on-campus Veterans Affairs Office.

The Campus Bookstore Bonus Day

The Campus Bookstore is open an extra day on Friday, August 23, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Regular hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., contact: 740.588.1333 or bookstore@zanestate.edu
  • Please note, the ATM near The Campus Bookstore was removed over the summer.

Campus Café and Coffee Cart

Edie’s Deli (the campus cafeteria) opens on Monday, August 26.

  • Hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Edie’s Deli is also opening a brand new coffee cart in the main entrance of College Hall on August 26. Hours are 8 – 11 a.m.

  • Fall Semester begins on Monday, August 19
  • Labor Day is Monday, September 2 (College is closed)
  • Fall Fest is Tuesday, September 10
  • Zane State College’s 50th Birthday Party is Saturday, September 21 (click here for the event newsletter) – all are welcome!
  • Scholar-Donor Breakfast is Tuesday, September 24 (by invite only; for Foundation scholarship recipients)

Community Service

Sign up to be a volunteer! Be sure to add “community service” to your resume, too. Here are some current opportunities:

  • Zane State College is sponsoring a water station at the Zanesville Half Marathon on Saturday, September 14, at Zane Landing in downtown Zanesville. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Recruitment Coordinator Megan Jones at mjones7@zanestate.edu.
  • Genesis HealthCare System is also looking for volunteers. Please read this Facebook post for details.
