Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees which includes Instructional, General, and General Career Services fee will be charged at the rate of $174 per credit hour for residents of Ohio and $341 per credit hour for out-of-state and international students. Please refer to this page for more detailed information.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. Students are required to file for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to receive need based grants, or loans.  If you need assistance with any of the steps listed above, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 740.588.5000, Option 3.

FAFSA Directions

Follow these steps to assist you in filing the FAFSA

Step 1: Visit and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This site will require you to create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) User ID and Password if you do not already have one. Please file by May 1 of every year for the following Fall semester if possible. The new FAFSA is available every year on October 1 for the following year. Federal School Code is 008133

Step 2: Zane State College will receive your results electronically. If there is additional documentation required, you will receive notification from the Financial Aid Office. If you are asked for additional documentation, please respond as quickly as possible.

Step 3: Financial Aid will process your aid award and send you notification in the postal mail. Please follow the steps on this letter to accept, decline, or modify your aid amounts. Please do this as soon as you receive your letter.

Step 4: If you choose to accept loans, you will be required to complete an online Entrance Counseling session and an Online Master Promissory Note at
