Game Design

A student working on game development

Part artist, part engineer, part magician.

Many people don’t understand the love of video games. A big reason why people love video games is because of the sense of accomplishment. You step into the shoes of another character and compete with a sense of newfound confidence as you beat the challenging game—that feeling is hard to compete with. We’re sure you feel like you’ve done something that a lot of people thought you would never be able to do.

Becoming a game designer might be your dream job. Turn your passion into a profession.

Highlights

Students turn their passion into gaming in less than a year with a fully remote online certificate.

As Esports become more popular, this certificate is the perfect pairing with the Programming and Web Development program.

Success Stories

After getting my EEET degree, I was employed by EASi, Engineering LLC. A job as far as I'm concerned, I only got due to Professor Jim Davis. During that time, I met more graduates from the EEET program who worked for the same company. Interestingly enough, they were all very high performing/highly recognized individuals. I mean to tell you the difference between graduates from Zane State College's EEET program and other college's equivalent program is significant!
Derrick Mitchell
“Being a lover of technology and wanting to be a part of the latest tech trends, I decided I wanted to be an electrical engineer once I graduated high school. The hands-on learning and the high-quality engineering experience I could get at a school that was close to home was a big part of why I chose Zane State and the EET program. I could stay at home with affordable tuition for the same or higher education quality than that of a more expensive and comparable state university. Once I graduated with my associate degree from ZSC, I transferred those credits to a bachelor's program at a ZSC-connected university, which made it easier to achieve my goal of a 4-year degree. The experience I got at ZSC was second to none and I recommend Zane State and their EET program to anyone wanting to start in the electric and technology industries”
