HOAE – Health Occupations Aptitude Exam

If you are a student applying for admission to a selective health program, you came to the right spot. This page is injected with info to help you prep for and ACE the Health Occupations Aptitude Exam (HOAE) that is required for selective health programs. To complete your program application by February 27, 2020, by 5 p.m., you must obtain a minimum score on the HOAE as indicated in the program application packet. Check with individual program pages to find out if your ACT score replaces this requirement.

  • Tuesday, December 3 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. in Health Science Hall Lobby
  • Tuesday, January 21 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. in the Lobby or one of the study rooms at Advanced Science and Technology Center

Registration and Payment
If you have questions, contact Bonny Mitchell in The Testing Center at 740.588.1227 or If you are on the Zanesville campus, please go to College Hall and visit the Testing Center to complete a registration form. If you are on the Cambridge campus, please go to Academic Services Area to complete the registration form. Registration and payment must be completed three business days prior to scheduled exam date.

There is a $25 testing fee. You may pay your fee using cash, check, or credit card at the Business Office in College Hall on the Zanesville Campus, or at the Academic Services desk in the Paul R. Brown Epic Center on the Cambridge Campus. Your registration form and receipt must be taken or sent to the Testing Center at least three days prior to your exam date so you can be added to the testing schedule.

Not on Campus? You can also pay over the phone using a credit card by calling the Business Office at 740.588.1211. After payment, you will receive an email receipt. Send/forward that email along with your registration form to the Testing Center a minimum of three days prior to your exam. This requirement is so that your name can be added to the testing schedule.
