Health Occupations Aptitude Exam

If you are a student applying for admission to a selective health program, you came to the right spot. 

This page is injected with info to help you prep for and ACE the Health Occupations Aptitude Exam (HOAE) that is required for selective health programs. To complete your program application by the required date, you must obtain a minimum score on the HOAE as indicated in the program application packet. Check with individual program pages to find out if your ACT score replaces this requirement.

Get Your App Together Workshop

These 30-minute workshops are designed to answer your questions or concerns regarding the selective health application process. Registration is not required for the workshop. Get advice from Dean Shelley Zimmerman on applying to these programs where the HOAE is required. Applications are due March 30, 2023, by 4:30 p.m, online or in person at Health Science Hall.

Official HOAE Testing Dates

These are the current options for taking the HOAE. You are permitted to take the exam up to two times:

  • March 29 | 9 A.M.
  • March 31 | 1 P.M.

Exam Fee

There is a $60 exam fee collected by Pearson VUE (the company that is providing the exam).
