The Zane State College Criminal Justice major emphasizes areas of criminal justice to prepare you for a career in the law enforcement profession which include local, state and federal law enforcement, court bailiffs, criminal investigations and criminology. Some of the career paths include, but are not limited to municipal police, sheriff’s deputy, court bailiff, security officers, and positions in the Department of Natural Resources and Homeland Security.

The degree program is designed to prepare you to enter the criminal justice field, are already employed in the field and wish to advance, and those who seek to continue their education at the baccalaureate level. Criminal Justice professionals play important roles in protecting the public and the administration of justice. Specific admission requirements are available from the Criminal Justice Program Director.
