If you like to be in the kitchen, working with your hands, this program will not disappoint. You’ll work in a professional quality kitchen lab, learning everything from proper meat preparation to crafting classical desserts. You’ll even have the chance to serve hundreds of people at local events, like Zane State College’s Ethnic Food Fair. All of the skills you need for the food service industry, from menu planning to accounting, are taught by our experienced faculty.

With this degree, you will be ready for a career in the food service industry at mid-management level. Employment opportunities include restaurants, food trucks, private clubs, hotels, schools, hospitals, cafeterias, extended care facilities, and more.  

The Culinary Arts program is fully accredited by the American Culinary Federation. Zane State College’s Culinary Arts program is one of only five such programs accredited in Ohio.
