The Real Estate Certificate is designed for anyone interested in pursuing a career in real estate. Students who complete the four real estate courses in the certificate are eligible to take the State of Ohio Real Estate Licensing Exam. Additionally, completion of the Real Estate Certificate provides business skills and awareness that are essential to a successful career in real estate.
The Real Estate Certificate Program requires 31 credit hours of coursework, 19 of which provide a solid foundation needed to be successful in real estate. This includes use of computer applications; principles of management and marketing; financial accounting; and the math skills needed in business. The remaining 12 hours consist of the four courses required for real estate licensure in the State of Ohio:
- BUSM 2730, Real Estate Principles and Practices
- BUSM 2740, Real Estate Law
- BUSM 2750, Real Estate Finance
- BUSM 2760, Real Estate Appraising
