Senior Citizens
In Ohio, senior citizens aged 60 and older have the opportunity to take advantage of a special educational benefit. Ohio residents who are 60 years of age or older can enroll
in courses at public colleges and universities across the state and receive up to four credit hours of coursework for free each semester. This program is designed to promote
lifelong learning and make higher education more accessible to older adults.
Senior Citizens may be responsible for additional fees, but the tuition for up to four credit hours is waived. This initiative allows senior citizens to explore new subjects, stay mentally active, and engage with the academic community.
To participate, senior citizens can apply as a degree-seeking or non-degree seeking student.
