For the health of our community, the Zane State College Zanesville and Cambridge campuses, along with the Ohio University Zanesville campus, is 100 percent tobacco free. This policy includes all forms of tobacco, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco. This initiative will allow all students, faculty, and staff to learn and work in a healthy, smoke-free environment.
Research shows that most smokers start smoking as young adults, which means it is crucial to curb the practice during this age. Going tobacco free at Zane State College may deter students from starting a tobacco habit.
As an institution of higher learning, it is important to help our students improve their lives, not just by providing a strong educational foundation, but also by helping them make responsible healthy lifestyle choices.
