Industrial Systems Certificate

5 Courses/16 Credit Hours

Be the one who keeps the machines running. This certificate is perfect for farmers and those who want more employment stability. Work with your hands and troubleshoot equipment and machinery in a recession-proof job. In less than a year, you’ll be on your way to a job that is in-demand making a median hourly wage of $25/hour.

Upon earning your certificate, you will be qualified for these occupations:
Maintenance Work, Industrial Machinery Technician/Mechanic,
Maintenance and Repair Worker, Building Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Equipment Engineering Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Mechanic, Automation and Control Engineer/Technician, Maintenance Manager, and for some students an opportunity to
advance into a Facilities/Site Manager position.

Water Technology Certificate

10 Courses/30 Credit Hours

This certificate opens the door to a recession-proof career that helps keeps
our waterways clean and safe. The coursework prepares you for the state exam and provides additional education training in the areas of industrial safety, hazardous materials, water technology, and laboratory services. The program is a combination of lecture, laboratory, field visits, and hands-on learning. Upon completion, you’ll receive industry-recognized training certificates in hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) and OSHA general industry safety (OSHA 30 GI). Median hourly wage is $23/hour.

Upon earning our certificate, you will be qualified for these occupations:
Plant Operator, Process Operator (Process Op), Relief Operator, Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator (WWTP Operator), Wastewater Operator (WW Operator), Water Control Dispatcher, Water Plant Operator, Water Treatment Operator, Water Treatment Plant Operator, and Lab Technician
