Arriving in 1971, Zane State College’s beloved Bengal tiger mascot helped celebrate the College’s earliest milestones. Monado was a familiar sight at parades, fairs, and other public events.
After several years of hibernation, Monado was reintroduced to faculty and staff during the first day of fall 2016 classes (see below for Monado with students on campus as well as the graphic representation). Refreshed and ready to get his “education on,” Monado embodies the spirit and drive of ZSC students and its community—always there to lend a helping paw and give encouragement when needed. Look for him at upcoming events, community gatherings and just strolling along to make sure everyone is keeping a smile on their face.
