“You Got the Job”
By: Kelsee Parsons, Career Coach
As the nation prepares to celebrate the 4th of July, Career Services wants to help you add one more celebration to your list: getting your dream job.
Applying for a new job is a journey. After you go through the interview and wait for “the call,” you may think about the hours you spent on on homework, wonder if you said the right things, or wore the right clothes (even though you tried on 20 different outfits). Then “the call” comes. And you finally hear “you got the job.” It’s one of the greatest feelings in the world (talk about fireworks!). But getting to “the call” is not always an easy feat. As a student and alumni of Zane State College, Career Services is here for you every step of the way.
You might be asking yourself, “what is Career Services, and what can they do for me?” The answer is simple: Career Services can assist you in finding a degree pathway, a career that complements your degree, and building cover letters and resumes that will stand out to any employer. We can help you with mock interviewing to help relieve the nerves of the interviewing process and provide you with networking events with your peers as well as local employers. There is so much that we can provide for you, and you just need to let us know how we can help.
No matter what part of your career path you are on, there is no better time to reach out to Career Services to discover how we can help you. Even if you aren’t sure of what degree you are seeking or if you have already been working in you career for years but are thinking about a change, reach out to Career Services. We would be happy to help guide you to a fulfilling and exciting career.
