ZANESVILLE, OH — Zane State College hosted its annual Scholar-Donor Breakfast on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, honoring the generosity of donors and the accomplishments of student scholarship recipients. This year, 200 students received a combined 203 scholarships supporting academic excellence, leadership, and community commitment.
Held on the Zane State College campus, this annual breakfast provided an opportunity for students and donors to meet, share stories, and celebrate the impact of philanthropy on education. Students expressed their gratitude through personal letters and by connecting directly with their donors over breakfast.
“The Scholar-Donor Breakfast is one of our most meaningful events of the year,” said Zane State College President Chad Brown. “It’s where the generosity of our community meets the potential of our students. Together, they represent the heart of Zane State College.”
The Zane State College Foundation Board attended the event, joining students and donors, employees, and community members in recognizing the academic achievements of the 2025 scholarship recipients. This year’s speaker was John C. Matesich, III, Director Emeritus, whose decades of dedication and generosity have made a lasting impact on the College and our community.
