Business Management

I child looking at a women through a window

You walk into your first job, fresh out of high school, thinking, how in the world am I going to find my place? I love my job, but this manager of mine could use some serious improvement.

Your morning coffee order needs to be corrected. You want to speak to a manager. Leaving the grocery store, you have the kindest soul help you to the car, and you have to make sure they are recognized—you want to speak to the manager. Imagine you are that manager or you own that business. You’ll be ready for that leadership role armed with solid communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. While the workers around you focus on the transactional details, you get to think BIG picture and how this affects the company and the others it interacts with.

You might ask yourself, “Is a business degree worth it?” But I bet you never would have imagined when you pair your favorite hobby with a Business Management Degree, you’ve already found your career path. There are limitless opportunities for students who acquire a Business degree — government, private sector, nonprofit organizations, and more. Business Managers and owners are people who keep businesses on track. The same skill set applies to operating a small business or a significant corporation. The only difference is the drive and support you must achieve these dreams.

You’re a go-getter, ready to be the decision-maker. You like a challenge, and you like to strategize and do your research.
